Born and raised in Detroit, MI, Wayne is a vibrant and passionate host who brings his love for music and radio to the airwaves! After earning his Master’s degree from the University of Kentucky, he made Lexington his home, where he works in our digital department and as an on-air personality. Wayne’s show is all about creating a fun, authentic vibe, mixing music, stories, and positive energy that’ll make the listener’s day just a little brighter. He’s the listener’s self-proclaimed “favorite cousin”, as he is always calling the audience “family” and keeping the conversation engaging.
In addition to great music and insightful talk, Wayne features the “Top 8 at 8:00” every weekday, a countdown of the top 8 streamed songs. He also brings his “Question of the Day” that’s always random but will make the listener think deeply or burst out laughing. Whether sharing his love for the latest hits or diving into trending topics, Wayne connects with the listener through his unique perspective and energetic personality.
